Sergey Sergeyev, MPA, CHC, CHPC, has served as Celebrating Life Community Health Center’s (CLCHC) Chief Executive since its founding in December 2018 in memory of his daughter, Kristina Sergeyeva, who passed away at just 24 in October 2018. Under Sergey’s leadership, CLCHC has transitioned from a private family practice to a licensed community health center, implementing the clinical model of care required for a successful and sustainable health center program. Mr. Sergeyev established the community-based board of directors and integrated comprehensive healthcare services across the lifespan, including medical, dental, behavioral health, and social services to underserved and uninsured communities of Orange County.
Sergey brings over two decades of continuous executive management experience in managing community health centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). Immediately before founding CLCHC, Sergey was the Chief Financial and Privacy Officer at Share Our Selves (SOS), a mid-sized FQHC in Orange County, wherein he successfully managed SOS from a $4M budget to a $22M organization, including expansion to six clinic sites and two administrative locations. He was also responsible for creating in-house financial management, accounting, and billing departments. Prior to Share Our Selves, Sergey served as the Interim CEO at the To Help Everyone (THE) Clinic, a well-regarded FQHC in Los Angeles, and as Chief Operations and Financial Officer (COFO) at Saban Community Clinic, one of the largest FQHCs in Los Angeles County. With his firsthand knowledge of FQHC clinics’ financial management systems, Sergey brings a wealth of experiences as a nonprofit senior executive to his role at CLCHC.
Sergey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BA) with a double emphasis in Accounting and Finance from Fresno Pacific University, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Healthcare Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago, and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University, as he enters the dissertation phase. Sergey also holds certifications in Healthcare Compliance and Healthcare Privacy Compliance. Further holding personal membership in the Healthcare Compliance Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, Institute of Management Accountants, and National Association of Community Health Centers. Sergey is fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
