CLCHC Receives Grant to Expand Cancer Screening Services for Underserved Communities

CalOptima Health Grant Aims to Boost Early Cancer Detection and Improve Care for Underserved Communities in Orange County

ORANGE, Calif. (August 5, 2024)– We are excited to announce that Celebrating Life Community Health Center (CLCHC) has been awarded a grant to expand cancer screening services for underserved communities. This grant, part of CalOptima Health’s $16.4 million initiative, will help improve early cancer detection and provide critical support services to reduce late-stage diagnoses. By focusing on breast, cervical, colon, and certain lung cancers, this program supports our mission to improve health outcomes for low-income and underserved populations in Orange County.   With this grant, our health centers will be able to strengthen outreach efforts, increase access to essential cancer screening services, and enhance care coordination for our patients. The focus will be on early detection of breast, cervical, colon, and certain lung cancers—supporting our mission to serve the health needs of low-income and underserved populations in our community.   We are proud to collaborate with CalOptima Health in this important initiative, which will improve cancer outcomes across Orange County and help us build a healthier, more resilient community.   For the full press release, please click here.
